Uses of Electricity

Electricity is one of the major power sources of modern society. Electricity is useful because it can be converted into other forms of energy. For example, it can

1. generate heat (e.g. electric heater, electric rice cooker)
2. generate light (e.g. lamp, light tube) and
3. run various appliances (e.g. electric fan, washing machine) bringing convenience to our domestic life.
